The Little Taco House

And some good lunch Tacos

Great Tacos for lunch in summer. You can sit outside and explore the hustling and bustling of the West Village while enjoying good Tacos. Not good as a restaurant, but as a way to get fresh Tacos fast and good-tasting.

Great for Second-Hand Shopping and Some Hidden Gems in Town

I gave my clothing to stores for second-hand selling, and I like second-hand shopping, but I am not a big shopper per se. But when an ex-colleague visited New York and looked for exciting shows to buy a dress or some other interesting piece of clothing, I joined her. The shop is stuffed with clothing and it feels like a scavenger hunt in the middle of a chaotic scene out of a movement from one place to another. While it is chaotic, you for sure find something that you enjoy: - A fun dress with big bubbles - I did and it was the so far one and only dress I bought in the city - Earrings in form of maki sushi and pianos - and a broad mix of dresses, hats, shoes, bags and more...

L’industrie Pizzeria West Village

L’industrie Pizzeria West Village

A lovely West Village Pizza Place

I visited that pizzeria various times while living in West Village. Expect queues in front of the pizzeria and very little, only squeezed ability to sit somewhere. But the pizza itself is delicious and one of the best that I have eaten in NYC.

Joe's Pizza

Joe's Pizza

Not the best pizza, but for sure an institution in NYC

Joe's Pizza places are spreaded around town - one close to Union Square at 14th Street, at least one in Midtown and several more around town. Joe's Pizza is an institution as the many images and pictures on the walls show. This place is great to grab a slice of pizza and eat it on a high-chair in the venue (not suited for an elegant evening out) or outside on for example one of the benches at Union Square Park. If you visit New York or have lived here for a while, this should at least be once on your list of pizza places to try. You won't get the best pizza in town, but the experience makes it all worthwhile to check out for sure.
